December 12: Key Stage 3 (years 7-9) Imperial war museum visit
Key stage 3 boys and girls loved this visit although on seeing the reality of the trenches they “found it hard to believe how so many men and women could live and work within such cramped corridors at any one time – it was baffling to see.” Also during their visit they learned about Churchill: “During the tour there was a virtual card game which told us facts about Churchill’s life: did you know that he was 5 foot 6 and a half? Or that he was Prime Minister not just at the age of 68, but the age of 75 too?” Really supported what they are doing in humanities classes and surprised them too.
