CIFE Awards - 27 March 2010
Some photos from the CIFE annual Awards, held at the House of Lords on 27th March 2010. Jamie Tong (year 13 Bales College) was awarded outstanding scholar of 2010.
CIFE (Council for Independent Further Education) is an organisation of 16 top sixth form colleges in the UK.
The annual awards recognise the best achievements amongst the 16 independent sixth form colleges. Congratulations Jamie!

Mathematics
We are on a drive to boost numeracy next year. We are pleased to announce that some of our Year 10 students will be taking Mathematics IGCSE a year early. Some of our Year 11 students will be studying Additional Mathematics IGCSE, a much more stretching and challenging course than conventional GCSE, and we will have a Further Mathematics A-level class.
Mathematics Challenge
Bales recently enjoyed success in the UKMT Mathematics Challenges. Our students secured gold certificates in the Senior and Intermediate Challenges and we received a number of other awards.
