We have up to 25 boarders each year, girls and boys usually aged between 15 to 19.

 

Generally about half of our boarders are international students, from a wide variety of countries, and the other half is made up of English students who live too far away from Bales College to make commuting each day practical.

 

The boarders at Bales spend a lot of time together, from classes during the school day to evening study sessions and relaxation time. In this way, there is always a strong bond of friendship between the boarders, a lot of whom will not have spent much time away from their home. The students thus become an extended family to each other and form lasting friendships, which helps them with the studying side of life at Bales, as they are more relaxed and content outside of work hours!
