Students in Years 7 to 9 are expected to be in school from 8.40am through to the end of final period, which is usually 3.15pm. Year 10 students start school at the same time, but usually finish at 4pm. During this time they are not allowed to leave the campus, and should attend every timetabled lesson. Missed days due to illness should be reported before 12 midday to the school office by the parent/guardian, and an absence note signed by the parent/guardian should be handed in the following day.
GCSE and A level students should attend every timetabled lesson, but are given more freedom during lunch breaks and free periods, to visit a local library for example. Should students wish to leave campus in between lessons, they should inform the school office.
Any unexplained absence is initially raised with the student, and then with the parents/guardians if necessary.
